Starting regular classes
Beginners Syllabus top
The beginners syllabus is from the Rokyu belt test. To see and download the entire standard test and the answer key that we use for all the belt ranks go to the Promotions page.
There is not a test for the beginners class. When your instructor feels you are ready to go into a regular class you will be invited to do so.
We do not include a lot of vocabulary in the beginners class but it is an important (and required) part of all promotions so you should start memorizing the words in the standard test early. The vocabulary is important in Judo because all judo training and competition worldwide uses this language.
