Student tuition and other costs

Overview

There are two fees: Annual membership in USA Judo and Monthly tuition to Tulsa Judo Club

Tuition paid to Tulsa Judo Club

Beginners are asked to pay one months tuition, either individual or family as appropriate.

After the beginners class, your first month tuition is $100. This covers your student tuition, a uniform, a club patch and your student manual.

After this first month your tuition drops to the Individual, Family or Black Belt levels shown below:

Amounts based on subscription. There is a $5 surcharge per cash or check payment.

Individual student (up to black belt): $50/month
Families
- $50/month for the first family member
- $40/month for the 2nd member of an immediate family
- $30/month for each additional immediate family member
Certified Black Belts
- Shodan: $45/month
- Nidan: $40/month
- Sandan: $35/month

You can pay your tuition by check each month or set up an automatic donation by credit card or PayPal subscription. See the Students Only Tuition page for details (you will receive the Students Only section password when you begin regular classes).

Membership in USA Judo (includes insurance)

Please note: your tuition paid to the Tulsa Judo Club help support a healthy educational environment but does not pay for insurance or membership in the governing body for Judo in the United States. A separate registration and membership in USA Judo is required.

Each student must join and be a current member of USA Judo in order to study at the Tulsa Judo Club. You can register with USA Judo here. USA Judo memberships is currently $30 for a new member's first year then $50 per year thereafter; check for specials and note that these fees are set by USA Judo, not Tulsa Judo Club. Check the USA Judo website for current details.

Please print and bring a copy of your USA Judo membership card to class.

Uniforms and equipment

No uniform or equipment is required for the beginners class.

Uniforms can be purchased for $35 to $50 depending on size. No equipment is needed.

Examples:

An individual signs up:

Month 1 (beginners class): $80 ($50 to Tulsa Judo Club, $30 to USA Judo)
Month 2 (first regular month): $100 (includes uniform, club patch, student manual)
Month 3 and going forward: $50

A parent and a junior sign up for a beginners class together:

Month 1 (beginners class): $150 total ($90 to Tulsa Judo Club, $60 to USA Judo)
Month 2 (first regular month): $200 total (includes both uniforms, club patches, student manuals)
Month 3 and going forward: $90 total
